Bring Back the Heavy Machinery

I propose that the reason younger generations aren’t having sex is because nobody makes mixtapes any more. The labor involved in choosing the songs, operating the machinery of the stereo recording system, hand writing the names of the songs and doing the appropriate doodles on the blank cassette tape box insert for a special person has been lost in an era where everything is available at all times on Spotify or whatever. The kids aren’t fucking because they’re not falling in love, and they’re not falling in love because music has become less special. That’s my hot take.
